Huge Egyptian stele, beautiful condition, one owner Ancient art Start Price USD 30,000.00 Current Price USD 30,000.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Sunday, August 31, 2008 End Time Wednesday, September 10, 2008 Location Perkasie, PA See more about 'Huge Egyptian stele, beautiful condition, one owner' Description This reproduction of an ancient Egyptian stele was created in 1980, one of two matching but not identical panels.  It is 9 feet 3 inches high and approximately 4 feet wide.  It is sculptured in wood and covered with a protective coating and sculptured in traditional ancient low relief with natural appearing blemishes such as cracks, mildew and other flaws that would be expected in an ancient tomb thousands of years old.  However, it is structurally sound and very durable.   It weighs approximately 205 pounds.  Intended for indoor display only.  It can be reduced in height somewhat to accommodate a lower ceiling if necessary.  It has an inch and a half finished wooden board at the bottom to protect the stele from impact during installation and handling.  This can be removed or left in place.  Shipping charges and insurance must be paid by the buyer.  Insurance is a must.  Preparation for shipping-- including packing materials and crate-- will be the seller's responsibility.   The shipping and packing materials will add an estimated 50 pounds for a total estimated weight of 255 pounds.  Shipping charge listed is ONLY AN ESTIMATE.  The final charge will depend upon type of service and destination.
