This unique and inspirational sculpture is the icon and inspiration behind a year long National Tour, Liberty Let's Roll! that is the grass root effort of four intrepid women with a vision to motivate their countrymen to move past the barriers in their lives and move in the direction of their dreams.  This work was inspired by the artist after the events of September 11, 2001 and the courageous actions of so many as they were faced with the horrific obstacles that challenged our freedom.   The following message is the most recent words from the artist to her family and friends on the eve of their July 4th, 2008 send off:   I want to take this moment (of which it literally is just that!) to not only keep in touch but to let you know how valuable you all are to me, each other and our world.  Since the decision to focus my energies entirely on the enormous demands of the Liberty Tour and leaping headlong into uncharted territories as a leader not only of self but a diverse and beautifully motley crew, I have been catapulted like a rocket ship on a very steep learning curve...tested, tried and proved over and over.  One week from  launch time finds me completely committed with an unshakeable faith that the dream planted in my heart seven  years ago will unfold in spite of circumstances that might cause all but those willing to pay the price Liberty requires to run as fast as possible in the opposite direction.  It has been a journey where I have seen every effective and ineffective personality trait surface in myself and those around me.  Each time a choice had to be made...to which one will I give power or succumb to.  When I looked at the obstacles, they loomed large and foreboding but as attention was focused on the beauty and worthiness of the goal  on the other side,  a way opened up to pass through. Fear, intimidation and failure take their place - behind or in front - depending on the choice! It also presents an opportunity to reexamine motives and worthiness of the dream.   With each step forward in spite of threatening challenges from unexpected sources, we are learning to shed every encumbrance that impedes progress toward it. As we do, the freedom and beauty of  life grows in equal portion to the effort  given.  The sometimes painful process is remarkably part of the exquisite pleasure of embracing the privilege and freedom to be faithful to the call of active and intimate involvement with the Creator in His wonderful becoming ... in us!  We are so grateful for the Idea that has used us.  There are no illusions of grandeur nor naive expectation of "arriving".  On the contrary,  the wild unexpected nature of a spiritual experience in the confines of our material, vulnerable bodies are fabulously humbling and have their own private rewards. Again, we are entirely grateful for the idea that is using us with an unwavering awareness of  the unending and passionate desire for the Infinite to create visible evidence of His profound and gracious Love.    I am not ignorant of the fact that many if not most of you have difficulty  grasping what the Liberty, Let's Roll! Tour is about and why I and the rest of the team is so committed to it.  So, I invite you to watch and stay open to what you can learn vicariously through the individual and collective experiences that each of us is choosing to embrace by accepting  personal responsibility to the gift of  Liberty hard one through the courage of others who have gone before in the hope that you will move confidently in the direction of the idea that longs to use you in a world blinded by problems that need your unique creative solution.   Living, Loving and Cre8ing because the alternative is an unpleasant option...Liberty, Let's Roll!,   Irene for the Liberty Team   www.libertyletsroll.com     Shipping Details: This item will be delivered  by the Liberty Let's Roll Team including the sculptor and the vocalist who will perform the original song written for the Tour.  The cost of delivery will be determined by the distance from the last stop, Boise, Idaho Place a Bid!
