A broad, loose background of rose-colored wash falls behind them. The blue shadow the birds cast suggests a light dusting of snow on the ground. One bird preens as the other stands watch. The original art from which this print is reproduced was twice honored in 1991 by the Wings 'N Water Festival in Stone Harbor NJ; it was used as the Festival's promotional poster illustration, and also was shown on a commemorative postal cover made available at the event. Nancy LeMay is listed in Whos Who in American Art and Whos Who in American Women. Her diverse career has spanned more than 30 years; her first commercial job was a logotype design for the City of New York, done while she was a sophomore at the High School of Art & Design. A graduate of the School of Visual Arts, she is the proud winner of five Emmy Awards for Art Direction and Broadcast Design, as well as three awards from the Broadcast Designer's Association and four awards from the Associated Press. Her graphic design work is featured in the book "White Graphics", published by Rockport Press.
