The lithograph was created in 1951 under Miro's supervision and approval after a painting initially done for Harvard University that is currently in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art. "Sur Quatre Murs" was published in an edition of 400 signed impressions (of which this is one) and 1200 unsigned impressions for Derrière le Miroir. This is  rare example of Miro's early lithographic work. This print typically sells at auction for more than $10,000. The lithograph is signed lower right and dated 1951. It is in excellent condition except for a square area of toning around the signature (the print was framed with a mat opening for the signature but the margins were covered with the mat).
